I'm taking a certified nursing assistant class. Our instructor told us that the down-state Illinois is considering certified nursing assistants give medication following acquired 100 hours of additional medication education. Does anyone have any info on this? No, it can be a CNA no medication to the patient only help the patient administer medicines. (What the patient's drug dealing itself, CNA will give it to them to take) if they are certified to do so. Also certified, he must never handle (measure or press the medicine bottle) medications or say who gets what medication.
